Over 30 years' experience sits behind the work. Years mostly buy you two things in this trade: knowing what you will find once a wall comes back to bare timber, and knowing when something has to be fixed rather than covered up and hoped about.

How we work
Four things happen on every job we take, in this order, whether it is one room or a whole exterior.
Advice before a quote
Before anything is booked in we talk the job through with you. Sometimes what we say is not what you were expecting to hear: a section that wants repairing rather than another coat over the top, or a job worth doing in a different order than you had in mind. You get an honest read on what the surfaces need, and then a plan you have agreed to, before anything is booked in.Preparation, properly
Then the part nobody photographs. Surfaces are made good, primed and properly prepared before a finish coat goes anywhere near them. On an exterior that can mean cutting out weatherboards that are beyond saving and putting new ones in, because paint over a soft board buys you a season and then hands the problem back. Indoors it is filling, sanding and sealing until a wall is genuinely ready for paint rather than merely looking like it is.Your home, while we are in it
You still have to live there while all this is going on. Your furnishings, your floors and the things that matter to you are protected for the whole of the job, not only on the days a brush is out. A house with people in it is not a building site and we do not treat it like one.The job managed through to the end
Somebody has to hold the whole thing together: the order the work happens in, what needs to dry before the next step can start, the details that get skipped when a job is running late. That is our job, not yours. We manage the work through to completion and we are not finished until the last coat is on and you have looked over it with us.

Weatherboards, cladding, eaves and trim — repaired and replaced where they need to be before a brush goes near them.
Interior painting
Walls, ceilings, doors and trim, with your rooms and your belongings covered while the work is on.
